Preview: Strategie map


In the picture you can see the first basic version of the strategie map I might add into the game later. Please keep in mind that this is just an idea and might look or play different in it's final shape.

The idea is a turn based system during which you can pick one of the six options on the right side.Most options will require a certain amount of days which will be used as a deadline and to have certain event start or be available at certain days. For example the tent on the map might give you a supply bonus if you visit on the 5th day.
The goal in this map would be to to have your soldier move from the bottom left to the building in the top right corner. On the way you'll be given choices depending on your position and what number of day it is.

- Move/Fight: In the picture you can see the soldier as a symbol for our forces. At the start of this map you would have the "move" option shown in the menu. If you pick move it'll then give you the choice to follow the street or take a shortcut through the forest which is more dangerous but faster. The result would be a shorter amount of days needed for the movement but could cause an ambush for example.
If you're at a point with enemy forces you'll have the fight option. Before the fight you get to make some choices for your tactic and you may be able to use Mobility to make flank attacks for greater damage. During a fight the DEF of the two forces will be reduced by the opposing ATK value. (DEF might be renamed to Health, Forces or something more clear.)

- Train (might be renamed to support):
Uses supply to get more soldiers (+ATK), heavy soldiers (+DEF), mages (+M.ATK/DEF), cavaleriy (+Mobility), archers (+ATK -DEF) or siege weapons (Less damage reduction from walls). Depending on the map you might also be able to get unique soldiers/heros to join you.

- Formation:
Gives you the option to pick on of several formations which improve your ATK, DEF, Mobility or reduce the damage from flank attacks.

- Supply:
Uses a certain amount of days to get supplies for more forces. The time needed might change depending on how far away for your capital/cities/country the fight is. I'm considering to add a constant decrease of supplies to make supplying and supply routes more important.
A certain merchant might be able to reduce the time needed.

- Covered Ops.:
Some certain characters with skills used in this special category can help you out by gathering informations about hiding enemy forces, enemy ATK/DEF values, reduce their strength by assassinations or destroying supplies.

Quick fix.

It seems like a new plugin caused the savegame system to be bugged. I uploaded a new version 27.08.16 without the plugin which seems to work fine now. Please tell me if you still encounter problems.

Update 26.08.16

 

A new version has been uploaded. The version introduces the catgirl Kurohime with currently 2 CGs and over 10 different options to play with her. You can thank the patron Sam Milne who wished for this character and CG as his pledge reward. Kurohime can be met at the hidden room shown in the screenshot above once you meet the requirements.

The old encryption I used seems to cause problems with the save system after an rpg maker update so I changed to the new encryption in the rpg maker itself. Sadly this seems to cause problems as well. I noticed some flower tiles to look bugged due to this. Please tell me if anything else seems to be affected. In the meantime I’ll see if I can find a smooth solution to the problem. :)
I left the old version 15.08.16 in the download folder in case any game breaking problem appear.

Update 15.08.16

I made a very small update with some fixes.
- Hints for Sandras first treasure dungeon room have been improved.
- Dead plant as the treasure dungeon has been replaced to avoid possible confusion about it.
- Sandra and Ryen will now "share" the items from the final treasure room. This won’t decrease the actuall reward you receive.
- Made a change to the thief girl events to avoid getting the event with the portal at two different locations.
- Other small changes 

The walkthrough has been updated but I haven’t done this in a while so let me know if anything is still missing. :)
The RPG Maker MV got an update. I haven’t seen any problems with the game yet but if you notice anything please let me know.

Update 06.08.16


I’ve uploaded a new game version for all systems. The update contains:
  • A fullscreen option in the menu (it’s also possible to just press F4)
  • New UI layout as seen in the Screenshot below. Please let me know what you think about it! =)
  • A short scene with my artist Scarlett. Please note that it’s meant as a joke and she’s not really that horrible of a person. :)
  • New map items show pictures of certain parts of the world map with the names of all areas. This should make it easier to find every accessible map and locate areas you need for a quest. This change also includes new names for most major area shown by signs at the entrance of each area.
  • Merchant at abandoned village in Amagal selling red slimegirl essence
  • Some enemies are stronger now.
  • New CG scene with Elly.
  • New events with Sandra in a new dungeon. This treasure hunt with her involves some riddles. Please let me know if you felt them too hard or easy and if you managed to solve everything. :)
I’ll be away from home and limited to my laptop for a while soon so if you find any bugs or problems please let me know quickly. It’ll be easier and faster to fix it while I still have my PC. Thanks!
